If you’re looking for one of the best places to take a holiday in the UK then look no further than Cornwall. For a true British seaside experience it simply cannot be beaten. I have been lucky enough to visit the a handful of times, each time I go back it just gets better and better. I have been there with my girlfriend, my mates and my family – so it really is the perfect destination for any type of holiday.
This fantastic location also offers great value for money, whether you want to stay in a 5 star hotel or a family run bed and breakfast, you’ll find it all waiting for you. Personally I love to stay in bed and breakfasts because you get such a personal touch from the family that runs it. Usually they are quite small and you can chat away to the owners at breakfast about all the things to do in Cornwall – and there are many!
So you’re probably wondering why I love Cornwall so much, it’s because it has everything you need to enjoy the perfect weekend away. I know that sites and activities should rank highly but there are many other factors that make a perfect destination, here are 3 that make Cornwall amazing.
The People
The local people can make or break a place in my opinion. There’s nothing worse that arriving at your holiday location and feeling like you’re not welcome. You’ll never feel like you’re not welcome in Cornwall, the people are so warm and friendly it feels like a home away from home.
The Food
You MUST try the famous fish and chips when you head to the seaside, it’d be a crime not to! You have so many choices in Cornwall, the only problem you’ll have is trying to eat as much as possible. Then you have the Cornish Pasty, my favourite, and they don’t do it any better than in Cornwall.
The Weather
Of course it’s perfect if the sun is shining when you head to the seaside and if you choose the right months you’ll get that. The good news is that even if it’s cloudy and raining the place looks amazing. You’ll be able to take in some dramatic views and snap some great pictures even if there weather is a little overcast.
