Last year I headed off to Russia for the first time, to be honest I wasn’t too sure what to expect but after only 7 days there I was completely sold! I will definitely be going back again when I can. St Petersburg was the destination and my home was Corinthia Hotel St Petersburg. As the title of this blog posts suggests, I absolutely loved it! Just take a look at this picture….
I guess it’s not difficult to see why I enjoyed myself, the second that our taxi pulled round the corner and we could see the Corinthia lighting up the night sky my jaw dropped. This place is five star in every meaning of the world, every single need is catered for and the staff were absolutely fantastic. There was just so much to love about this place I didn’t want to leave.
The Location
The hotel is located right in the heart of the city which is perfect because this means that it is just a hop, skip and jump away from the superb cultural attractions. It’s hard to find a hotel that is so close to all of the sites that you want to see but also really close to the railway station and airport.
The Room
The room, oh, the room! We stayed in the Junior Suite which was the most luxurious room I have ever seen, it was massive! The kingsize bed, the sofa, the tv, the bathroom and of course the bathrobes were all of the highest quality. The wifi was lightning quick which I think is something that all of us appreciate. Looking good
When I am on holiday I love to overindulge and in the hotel you will find it tough not to eat everything you see because they have some of the best restaurants in the city. So I like to try and burn off the excess by hitting the gym and spa. The Corinthia Hotel St Petersburg is great if you like to hit the gym, all of the equipment is state of the art!
I can’t recommend this place enough, definitely one of the most luxurious buildings I have ever been in!
