Everyone should go skiing at least once!

As a kid skiing was always the annual family holiday that I looked forward to the most. My brother and I much preferred it to the all inclusive family resorts in the sun. There really is nothing quite like the feeling of freedom as you glide down one of the slopes.

It used to be that a skiing holiday vas a very expensive luxury but nowadays they are becoming increasingly more affordable and therefore much more popular. I think it’s fantastic that more and more people are getting to experience the thrill of a skiing holiday in France.

For those of you that have already been skiing you will know just how good it is. For everyone who has yet to go then all I can say is that you need to go as soon as possible! With prices being so low and deals so easy to find there’s no excuse to not be jetting off to the snow filled mountains during the next ski season. You might be thinking why you should go, well here are three reasons you should go.

It’s fun for all the family

A skiing holiday is perfect for any type of traveller, most of all families. Parents can always drop their kids off to a local ski school in the mornings and head off by themselves to explore the mountains. Then in the afternoon you’ll all be able to ski together and see how much your little ones have improved.

The Apres ski

It’s a close call between which is more fun – the skiing or the evening after. At every ski resort you will find a plethora of bars and restaurants. There’s something for everyone. What makes the evenings even better is the atmosphere; everyone on a skiing holiday just seems to be very happy indeed.

Body and soul

This is a great activity for anyone who likes to keep fit on his or her holiday. Having said that you do not need to be an athlete to go. After a day of skiing your body feels great and you get a real sense of achievement. It’s also superb for the soul because you’re up there in the mountains feeling free and with out a care in the world – the perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle of life back home.
