Social media is a term that we hear on a regular basis these days, it is something that a large percentage of the world use everyday. You will love or hate it depending on your job, age, where you’re from and a host of other factors. I guarantee that if you’re a millennial you’ll love it.
Social media is loved because people can stay in contact with friends and family, but that isn’t the only reason why I think we should love it. Here are just a few of many reasons why we should love social media. Myself and my buddy Paul Hurdsfield put this together for you.

If you’re lucky enough to live in a free country then you are allowed to share your opinions as long as they are within reason. Sharing your opinions offline will only take them so far. If you want to change the opinions of people around the world then you’re not going to do that standing on a table shouting in the street. Social media gives us the opportunity to reach thousands of people around the world in just a few minutes.

Social media connects you with the world, so this means you can learn from everyone and anyone. If you want to know more about business, then follow the experts in that field. Want to learn more about training? Simply follow a top personal trainer who will post videos that will educate you for free. It is a chance to get free knowledge from people that you wouldn’t otherwise have the chance to learn from. So stop scrolling and start learning, you’d be surprised how much you can learn.
Control Your Image
With one slip up your image can take a real battering online these days, so you need to be careful. If you are unlucky enough to do something silly you can also use the platform to rebut what people are saying and try to rebuild. Before any potential errors you can also control how you are perceived and how people around the world see you – this is through your stories, pictures and videos.
