This fantastic place attracts a multitude of ski and snowboarding enthusiasts from all around Europe and the world. Staying in a ski chalet in Courchevel is ideal for your upcoming winter holidays and here are some great ways to spend your time in Courchevel.

Naturally the best thing to do here is to enjoy the snow and endless pistes that dot the mountains. There are runs for all types of levels of skiers and snowboarders. Courchevel is known more for its easy cruising runs, but don’t let that fool you into thinking that there isn’t something more challenging, because there are a number of challenging runs for expert skiers.

Parachuting and Hang gliding

Parachuting or hang gliding are two activities that you absolutely will never forget, especially in the mountains. These two activities are some of the best ways to enjoy the views of the mountains and their surrounds. Can you imagine being above the enormous mountains and seeing everything like a bird would? This is the perfect activity for the thrill seeker looking to change things up.

Courchevel has a 2 kilometre toboggan run that has a 300m vertical drop at an incline of 15%, this is a seriously fun way to enjoy the slopes. The whole run is floodlit and this allows it to stay opening until the early evening (sometimes until 7.30pm). You are also able to rent sleighs in many ski rental locations, so there is no need to worry about bringing your own.

Walking in snowshoes around the slopes is another great way to pass the time in Courchevel, especially when the mountains are dominated by lots of high speed and high intensity activities. This is also a great way for those that are less keen on skiing to enjoy the surrounds of the mountains and makes it a perfect activity for those with small children. There are a number of guides that you can hire to take you down the numerous trails in the area.
