Getting out and experiencing the world and everything it has to offer should be something that everyone dreams of. It is such a great experience to see and do something that you have never done before and it keeps life interesting. I wrote this article to talk about just a few of the world’s greatest travel adventures, so I hope you enjoy it and happy travels.
Seeing Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro
Everyone knows the huge statue of Jesus with open arms on the top of the bay of Rio de Janeiro, but how many people do you know that have actually had the opportunity to climb to the top and take in the wonderful scenery. The summit lies at the top of the Corcovado, which also includes a forest as part of the park itself.
See the majestic Taj Mahal
India is a very diverse country, but one thing stands out and that is the Taj Mahal. This is truly one of the most romantic places that you could visit as a traveller, particularly as it was built as a token of love. The most amazing thing about the Taj Mahal is the stunning views during different times of the day, the palace itself can be lit up by the sun in a range of colours from pink to gold. Climb the Great Wall of China
This is the without a doubt a place that has so much energy behind it as an incredible feat of human labour, especially because it spans close to 9000 kilometres. Of course, this makes it the longest man-made structure on the planet. The history of the wall is also an interesting one as a means to keep out the invading Mongolian soldiers and was also built over a period of about 2000 years! The wall manages to effortlessly navigate the grasslands, mountains and other landscapes of China.
Hike to Machu Picchu
Hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is just one of those things that should do at least once in your life and it is something that you will never forget. Experiencing the gruelling trail is without a doubt the best way to feel as the Incas did and the best way to experience all ancient ruins along the way. In the end, you will be rewarded with the most exciting view of the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. There really isn’t anything like beginning your last day of the hike extra early to see the sun rise over the stunning Machu Picchu, which was definitely my highlight.
