Photos from Brugge (UNESCO Site #20)

After spending two weeks in Belgium last month, I can easily say that Brugge was my favorite area of our visit. At the same time I can say it was easily the most touristy place we saw as well. With that being said, if you are fortunate enough to visit the beautiful city of Brugge, you should try to schedule it for a weekday! Below are some photos from around the city. Enjoy!

Brugge, BelgiumThe town is known as “Little Venice” and has a river cutting through the city throughout.

The Brugge TowerThe Brugge Tower stands in the city center and is one of the main attractions in town. If you saw the movie “In Brugge” this was the main tower featured in the film and this is sure to come up once or twice during your stay.

Bridge at Lover's LakeThese last three photos are of some of the bridges scattered about Brugge, which make for quite the photo op. The last shot was taken at Lover’s Lake at dusk as the daylight faded away.

Canals are so cool, and I had no idea they were so common in Brugge. Just another reason why I want to visit. 🙂

Brugge is a wonderfully beautiful city. I too particularly remember it being so busy that I couldn’t hardly walk in there. It’s a “must visit” place nonetheless.
