With a wealth of gargoyles and figures carved into the brickwork, it is a must see. The stained glass windows are breathtaking. Even for those who are more secular, you cannot deny that the cathedral of Notre Dame is beautiful.

With over 50 museums in the heart of Paris, you are spoilt for choice. The Louvre is a firm favourite with many tourists. The world renowned Mona Lisa is within its midst. You can also get up close and personal with Michelangelo’s David. From amazing ancient art, to modern artefacts, the Louvre is jam-packed with things to see and do.

Champs-Élysées is a beautiful part of the city. Gorgeous architecture is in abundance, and there is a wealth of shops within the confines of this boulevard. You can also see the famous Arc de Triomphe. The Arc was built to honour the many victories of Napoleon Bonaparte. The Arc is situated on a busy road. It can be somewhat dangerous to cross, but when you see it, you will be amazed by the sheer beauty and enormity of this amazing monument.

But, if you want music and dancing, you are best off heading to Le China. This is a Chinese restaurant come nightclub. While this may sound like a bizarre hybrid, there is nothing odd about this club. It’s a great place to enjoy live jazz and indulge in dancing. Le China has live music on every night, and it is free entry too.

 

Le Batofar is dancing with a difference. While you may have heard of party boats, there is nothing tacky about this. Le Batofar is a moored leisure boat with a bar. Dancing the night away has never been more fun. Le Batofar plays a selection of funk, soul and reggae and is a great place to dance the night away. Admission can be costly so do be aware of this.
