Paradise On Phi Phi Island

If there’s one place in Thailand that everyone wants to visit it’s Koh Phi Phi. Made famous in hollywood movies, this island paradise is top of most bucket lists. There are so many other islands dotted around this region which are all beautiful in their own right but none of them can beat Koh Phi Phi. After living it up at the full moon party we headed straight from Koh Phangan to Koh Phi Phi.

Here’s why you should all follow in our footsteps and visit as soon as possible.

Stunning Scenery

This is Thai beauty at its very best, I challenge anyone to visit without their jaw dropping and taking hundreds of pictures of the scenery. Wherever you look you’ll marvel at what you see, from the naturally curved sandy beaches to the jungle, there’s never a dull moment in Phi Phi. There are plenty of viewpoints for you to venture to where you can snap away, capturing those perfect moments of just how awesome this place is.

Maya Bay

We mentioned hollywood movies above, of course the one we’re thinking of is called ‘The Beach’ starring a one Mr Dicaprio. People already knew about the island but it was the movie that captured how beautiful Koh Phi Phi is, and showcased it to the world. Maya Bay is the place where a lot of the filming was done, I still remember watching the movie thinking that such a place surely could only exist in the movies!

You take a day trip to Koh Phi Phi Lek and spend the day enjoying the stunning beach, swimming in the crystal clear waters and exploring inland also. When you’re back and people ask you where you’ve been, just tell them the bay from the Beach, they’ll understand right away.

The Fire

When the sun starts to set and the light goes down, the performers head out to prepare for their evening shows. You have probably seen video or pictures of the fire performers, but in person it will absolutely blow you away. Watching the fire light up the beach is spectacular and these guys aren’t just spinning it around, it’s a real acrobatic performance – one you can never miss when you’re on Phi Phi!
