My First English Pub

I’m a big beer guy. No question about it. And I’m not talking about Natty Light or Bud Light or any of that crap. I love trying beers from around the world from smaller high quality breweries (commonly called craft beer in the U.S.). In fact, when I’m traveling, I make it a point to do my best to experience the beer there (or whatever alcohol is famous there). It is my opinion that the three most important things to

Photos from Lisbon, Portugal (UNESCO sites 13 & 14)

Our time in Lisbon (just over a week and a half ago) was spent making friends, exploring the surroundings of Lisbon, and hanging out on the beach. The first of these sites were two different historical buildings, the Tower of Belem, and the Monastery of the Hieronymites. Both show exemplary architecture

The next two weeks we’ll be getting situated here and

Porto Panoramic

Panoramic Photo of Porto, Portugal (UNESCO #12)

Porto, or Oporto as it is called by the locals, is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the twelfth one I’ve visited since the start of this site. Technically it is just the historic center of the city that is a heritage site, but I took this panoramic shot of the entire city because I loved the view. From what I understand the historic center is the part pictured at center here, highlighted by the tower you see poking up
