Site Update

Back to Business

I’ve been home for just over a month since my trip to Central America, and I’ve got exactly two months until my girlfriend and I leave for our three to four month trip to Europe. I’ve decided I’ve had enough of a break from the blog and am going to get back to regular posting this week. There are going to be a few changes to the blog so I’ll break down what you can expect over the next couple of weeks.

1. Two months is a long time to not be traveling and running a travel blog at the same time. I’ve decided to start an invite only guest posting series called “Top Ten Tuesdays” where I will have guest posters write about the top ten things to see in different cities around the world. This is going to give you all a chance to learn more about places I have yet to visit, and some of these posts will actually allow me to make a little bit of money off of the site as well.

2. Over the past month I’ve really been practicing my photo editing skills. I’ve learned a lot about how to turn my pictures into exactly what I want, and I’m going to be posting a lot of photos from my two and a half months in Central America that I’ve just gotten around to editing. There are some really great shots that I want to show everyone, so look for those to start popping up in the next couple of weeks.

3. Within the next week I hope to post the two possibly itineraries for my time in Europe. I did a similar post right before I went to Central America and I got a ton of information off of other travels who had been to the area and thought I should go to certain places. It was an amazing way to get the opinion of lots of travelers at once.

4. Last, I’ll hopefully be making a few updates to the site as well that will make navigation a little bit easier and faster. I’ll also be making a few changes that will allow me to monetize the site a little more. After reading this dreamhost review I’ve gotten a little extra kick of inspiration on what i’d like to do. At this point in time I’d just like to make sure I’m covering the expenses of the site and maybe a little extra.

Anyways, I just wanted to fill everyone who is interested in on what is happening with me. I’m really excited for the continued growth of the site, and I’m truly blown away by how fast it has actually grown. Thank you to everyone who is following along and supporting me as I try to make the best of these next few years of my life. As always, thanks for the support, and Happy Travels!

For those of you traveling to the U.S. looking for cheap phone plan options, consider Virgin Mobile. I’ve found a great site for Virgin Mobile promo codes that will help get you cheap minutes and texts, so feel free to check out the link above. Being able to call your hotel or friends you meet while traveling will make your trip that much easier! Trust me, I buy a phone plan almost everywhere I go.

Thanks! Slowly working on them! I got so behind that my laziness is really taking a toll…
